Grand Portage Lodge & Casino

A block of 90 rooms has been reserved at the conference venue from Monday-Friday at the Grand Portage Lodge & Casino. Reservations for Sunday evening (May 21st) will be charged the regular (not conference) rate for that night. Rooms must be reserved by May 12th to receive conference pricing. There will also be rooms available Sunday night, but those are not reserved at the group rate. For individuals with Tribal IDs, there is a further discounted room price.

Rates:

  • Single/Double Occupancy: $79.20/night + 12% tax

  • Three People/Room: $99.20/night + 12% tax

  • Four People/Room: $119.20/night + 12% tax

To reserve your room, please call the Lodge at 218-475-2401 or 1-800-543-1384. (the online reservation system will not work for the rooms blocked off for the moose conference.)

Hollow Rock Lodge

The Hollow Rock Resort is located on the Lake Superior shore within easy driving distance (3.7 miles) from the conference venue. Cabins at Hollow Rock Lodge have not been reserved for the conference, but are another option for conference attendees. See website for pricing and availability.

Grand Marais Area Hotels

The Grand Marais, Minnesota area is 35 miles (40-minute drive) from the conference venue, but offers additional lodging options if the Grand Portage Lodge fills up, and/or if attendees would like to stay in an area with more amenities. The Grand Marais area has a number of hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.

Thunder Bay Area Hotels

The Thunder Bay, Ontario area is 40 miles (50-minute drive) from the conference venue, and offers additional lodging options for those that want to stay in a larger city and/or need to stay in Canada. Note that this travel route includes a U.S./Canada border crossing that may add additional travel time.
